About this watch
An extremely rare stainless steel Longines Chronometer wristwatch with a three-body stainless steel case and larger than usual rounded caltrava-type bezel and downturning lugs.
Like most of the chronometer precision movements of the 1950s they were build for competition rather than daily use. At some point very few of these particular movements have been fitted into wrist watch cases and later sold. This is one of these rare species.
The watch features a special made matte silvered dial with black Arabic numerals, black “Chronometre” signature, black minute track, overzised subsidiary seconds and sparkling mounted blued steel feuille hand. The dial was manufactured by Fluckiger, St. Imier.
A once in a lifetime opportunity to add this not only incredible rare but also perfect condition watch to your collection.
