About this watch

We couldn’t be more proud to present you one of the most rare and most beautiful Patek Philippe Ref. 2577 in 18K Rose Gold – but not only one. It is by all experts and standard considered to be the best preserved Ref. 2577 in new old stock condition. The holy grail of Calatrava. The ones in a lifetime chance to acquire a real museum piece quality.

Ref. 2577 was launched in 1956, is a timepiece of truly marvelous craftsmanship and an intricate work of art. If we talk about rarity the 2577 is another level. It’s in it’s own elite circle and much rarer than almost any of it’s rarer Caltrava peers like the Ref. 3428, etc. Only twelve examples to date are known, eight of which are in yellow gold while 4 watches are cased in 18K rose gold, including the example offered here.

But rarity is only one part of the equation. But the condition of the case and dial of the offered watch truly ascends into the stratosphere of collector-worthiness. The term “NOS” (New Old Stock) is often misused, but it is more than appropriate to describe this watch’s case and dial. Our watch has never even come close to the polishing table after it left Patek’s factory. The sharp edges, crisp lugs and full satin finish of the case are in perfect condition and will leave any collector speechless. The grand feu dial is particularly difficult to make, and the success rate of such dials is exceptionally low. The dial of our watch is flawless and has no hairline or other defects.

Our watch is a true testament to the skill of Patek Philippe’s watchmakers and craftsmen and will remain a sought-after timepiece for many years to come. Again – it presents an extremely rare opportunity for the most discriminating connoisseur.
